When visitng Los Angeles there are many things to do on those days
when you choose not to take a hike. There are numerous theme parks,
including Universal Studios Hollywood, Magic Mountain, and the Santa
Monica Pier. Major Universitiesin Los Angele County include UCLA,
USC, and CalTech. The are many great venues for walking tours, try
visiting Old Town Pasadena, or the Huntington Gardens. In Long Beach
you can visit the Queen Mary.
Los Angeles is very large. You can drive for more than a hundred
miles from one side of the county to the other. The City of Los
Angeles is almost as large. In the summer, the climate is generally
nicer near the coast. In the winter months, the coast cities may be
overcast much of the day, and the inland regions will be warmer.
